It was a glare Murdock was sure BA had only recently developed, and used only when Face took Frankie on a double-date. Murdock figured Frankie needed all the help he could get. The glare remained after the door closed.
"Relax, BA. Frankie's a big boy."
The glare turned to Murdock, full force.
"Yeah, he is, and that just makes it worse. Face ain't young any more. He don't need Frankie egging him on."
"We gonna have our pardons soon. Face could settle down with one woman. He ain't gonna do that with all this 'hero worship' from Frankie. He's just gonna end up old and alone."
Murdock stared, dumbfounded, as BA stalked out. BA, worried about Face? That was just... weird.
Slowly, his gaze moved to the front door.
Face, old and alone? That was even more unbelievable. Face would never be alone.
Not while Murdock was still around...
